Cast your vote and they’ll sing it–I swear

Picture the following scenario:  You’re at a concert, waiting for the band to play your favorite song–and it never happens.  Pretty disappointing, huh?

Maybe more artists should consider what Bon Jovi is doing for their Grammy performance: holding an interactive fan vote where listeners cast their votes for one of six songs, ultimately choosing the winning number the band will perform.

Voting is open to fans here until Sunday, Jan. 24. The following day, the song list will be narrowed down to three and fans may resume voting until the band’s live Grammy performance on Sunday, Jan. 31.

Among the song choices are “Always,” “Bed of Roses,”Have a Nice Day,” “It’s My Life,” “Livin’ on a Prayer” and “Wanted Dead or Alive.”

In addition to the band’s Grammy performance, the group is also nominated for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals for “We Weren’t Born to Follow.”

Don’t forget to vote, and tune in to the 52nd Grammy Awards on Jan. 31 at 8 pm on CBS.

I will admit it, I am a Bon Jovi fan.

How can you not like a band that has overcome the HORRIBLE hair they had in the 80s and is continually successful in 2009?

“We Weren’t Born to Follow” is the first single off their album “The Circle,” which is due out November 10.

The lyrics and montage of pictures really go together nicely.  Even though the band’s sound has changed throughout the years, they’re still good in my book.

Exclusive “Glee” Sneak Preview!

This Wednesday’s episode of “Glee” features a song-and-dance-off pitting the boys against the girls.

The guy’s performance is an interesting Bon Jovi-Usher combo and has been posted online early.

Who would have thought to mix “It’s My Life” with “Confessions Part II”?  Perhaps the better question is WHY would anyone think to mix the two?  I can’t answer either question, but the result is actually pretty cool.

As for the dancing…

The choreography was good, but am I the only one who is physically pained watching Finn bust a move??

Even though this show can be cheesy at times, I come back for more each and every week, and it’s probably my favorite new series of the fall.

The ladies performance wasn’t leaked to the web, so I wonder what compilation they will be performing.  Perhaps some Rihanna-Rolling Stones?  Hah.
