Romeo & Juliet & Jeff Buckley

Interested in a rock version of “Romeo and Juliet” that features the songs of Jeff Buckley?

If the answer is yes, get ready for “The Last Goodbye,” a show featuring all that and more.

According to an article on Variety.com, the show will feature Bard’s classic “Romeo and Juliet” dialogue with Buckley’s songs as additions.

The play is set to hit the stage during the 2010-2011 season.

Buckley, who accidentally drowned in 1997, released only one studio album during his lifetime. “Grace” features well known songs like Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” and Buckley’s “Last Goodbye.”

“Eternal Life” and “Lover, You Should’ve Come Over” are reportedly two songs that will be featured in the play.

What do you think… is bringing Buckley to Broadway a good idea?
