“The Walking Dead” season two memes

Last week, Funny or Die posted a bunch of “Walking Dead” memes. I guffawed my way through them earlier today, and the following five were just begging to be shared:

“The Walking Dead” season two, t-minus one hour away!

If you’re following me on Twitter, (and if you’re not, you should be!) you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been mentioning “The Walking Dead” at least once a day for the past week and a half or so.

No, it’s not to annoy you… it’s just because I’m so freakin’ excited for the season two premiere tonight!

The first season was much too short, and the wait between the last episode and now was much too long. But alas, tonight I shall be reunited with my favorite show chock full of zombies and all things creepy.

For now, check out this five minute trailer for season two of “The Walking Dead:”

In related news, “The Walking Dead” season one 3-disc special edition was recently released, and it’s chock full of scream worthy special features. I’m writing my letter to Santa as we speak…

“The Walking Dead” season two not far away

It feels like it’s been years since “The Walking Dead” premiered, even though it was less than 12 months ago.

Get ready to mark your calendars, die hard zombie fans! The second season premiere is a 90-minute episode that will air on AMC on Oct. 16.

The only bad news about this season? It will be broken into two parts. The first seven episodes will begin on Oct. 16, and after quite a break, the last six will start up again on Feb. 12.

Who’s excited for season two?!

Season two of “The Walking Dead” sooner than expected?

If you’re a hardcore “Walking Dead” fan like myself, I’m sure your heart was crushed when you heard the show wouldn’t be back for its second season until Oct. 2011.

Towards the end of December, AMC released the following clip detailing some thoughts on the second season from the show’s cast and creators:

Vodpod videos no longer available.

They also informed us that “The Walking Dead” wouldn’t be back until October of this year. However, on Dec. 20, fellow AMC star Bryan Cranston of “Breaking Bad,” told NYMag that both shows were likely to make a comeback in July, not October.

My fingers are crossed that Cranston has his facts straight, but either way, I can’t wait for season two.

Take “The Walking Dead” survival test

The series premiere of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” landed 5.3 million viewers on Sunday, a record for any AMC original series.

It was, in a word, fantastic. In case you missed it, check out the first episode’s highlights below (SPOLERS, BEWARE!):

Also, I’m sure you’re wondering whether you’d survive a zombie attack or not, right? Take the quiz at AMC’s website and find out.

I, apparently, am a “natural born leader” who would survive. Yay!
